  • Level 1- Bachelor in Science in safety related field OR 8 years directly related experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Level 2 - Same as the level 1 requirements above with and additional 2 years explosive experience.
  • Previous explosives breaching experience is strongly preferred.

(Military explosive experience may be considered for equivalent education and/or experience upon review and evaluation.)

Essential experience/qualifications includes:

  • Performed or provided oversight of explosive breaching - hands on field experience coupled with formal, documented training.
  • Performed explosive blast effects modeling.
  • Participated on or led explosives safety assessments of both regulatory explosive documentation and field explosive operations.
  • Demonstrated experience with explosives storage requirements.
  • Conducted field/storage inspections.
  • Performed risk assessments.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE Q security clearance

Desired Qualifications:

  • Explosive ordnance experience.
