Minimum Requirements: 

  • PR0200: Bachelor’s Degree and 2-5 year’s relevant experience, or Masters and 1+ year relevant experience. Bachelor’s Degree with an emphasis in Science
  • Relevant experience in design and development of training materials is required.
  • PR0300: Bachelor’s Degree and 5 year’s relevant experience or a combination of 13 years of education and relevant experience in nuclear operations will be acceptable. Degree in STEM field
  • Must have the ability and willingness to obtain the INL Instructor Qualification.
  • Requires the technical ability to grasp, interpret and become fluent in complex operational concepts to include nuclear theory, radiation protection, and purpose/significance of nuclear Safety Basis.
  • Must present work to others for peer checks and accept constructive feedback to improve product.
  • Must be able and willing to work as a team player, build relationships and collaborate with others across a variety of disciplines.
  • Able to perform analysis, design, development, implementation, of technical training in accordance with DOE Order 426.2, associated Handbooks and Guides to Good Practices, and INL and MFC training procedures and practices that utilize the systematic approach to training (SAT) methodology.
  • This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy "L" clearance, which requires US Citizenship
  • Preferred Skills:
  • Able to perform an evaluation (student and program) of technical training in accordance with DOE Order 426.2, associated Handbooks and Guides to Good Practices, and INL and MFC training procedures and practices that utilize the systematic approach to training (SAT) methodology
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple training related initiatives or activities from conception to implementation
  • Experience implementing the SAT process in commercial or nuclear industries. 
  • Must have a strong understanding of nuclear facility operating practices to include principles of Conduct of Operations and Conduct of Research.
  • Senior level training experience in nuclear facilities in any of the following technical areas; nuclear operations, engineering/technical staff; maintenance (mechanical, electrical, I&C, or work planning); or a combination of the above 
  • Experience developing and delivering reactor training programs, nuclear operations, engineering/technical staff, maintenance (mechanical, electrical, I&C, or work planning or a combination

Job Information: 

  • Salary Grade: example: PR0200 - 190 ($72,528 - $119,652)/ PR0300 - 200 ($83,412 - $137,592)
