Minimum Requirements:
- Must have a comprehensive understanding of the fundamental science, theories and application of ferrous and non-ferrous metallurgy
- Must have a sound knowledge of other related science or technical fields with the ability to uses this knowledge to support the successful execution of assigned work and the development of new work
- Must have broad experience in metal component design and manufacturing, including direct experience in a manufacturing environment, and experience in at least two major and distinct product lines or industries
- Must have experience developing new components and product lines, including at least design through prototype manufacturing
- Must have project leadership experience of basic scope (>$250K), including defining scope, managing budgets and schedules, and coordinating across multi-disciplined technical contributors and other project functions (e.g. finance, contracts, project management)
- Must have effective collaboration and communication skills to organize cross functional teams to meet project requirements
- PR0300 Master’s Degree and 3+ yrs. experience or PhD and 2+ yrs. relevant experience
- PR0400 Master’s Degree and 6+ yrs. experience or PhD and 4+ yrs.relevant experience
- Degree in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering or other technical, scientific and/or engineering degree is required
- This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy "L" clearance, which requires US Citizenship
Job Information:
- Salary Grade PR0300 - 220 ($107,520 - $177,336) PR0400 - 230 ($121,212 - $206,232)
