Minimum Requirements:
- Level 4: Bachelor's degree and 9 years’ relevant experience in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field; or a Master's degree and 6 years’ relevant experience; or a PhD and 4 years’ relevant experience.
- Proficiency with data analysis tools and programming languages such as Excel, Python, R, SQL, Spark, SAS, Tableau, Jupyter Notebooks, and Microsoft Azure Notebooks.
- Strong working experience data visualization skills and defining Key Performance Indicators
- Ability to facilitate collaboration among groups with different backgrounds and knowledge sets and drive the group to cohesive decision making.
- Ability to communicate with both business and technical audiences at all levels.
- Ability to train and mentor staff in data analytics requirements, concepts, and processes.
- This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy "Q" clearance, which requires US Citizenship.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Experience with cloud services and cloud-based analytics (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, etc.)
- Experience with SciPy, Notebook IDE, PyTorch, TensorFlow, Cuda, Natural Language Processing Techniques, Graph Databases, Relational Databases, and a general understanding of data storage and processing.
- Experience with version control and repository management (e.g., Git).
Job Information:
- The pay range for this position is $111,888 - $229,284. At Idaho National Laboratory compensation decisions are determined using factors such as education, relevant experience, and other credentials.
- TDP: This is a testing designated position; you will be required to submit to a pre-employment drug screen and periodic drug testing throughout the term of your employment.
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this classification, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, stoop,
kneel, bend, use hands to handle materials, manipulate tools, keyboard and type, reach with hands and arms,
and operate job-related equipment. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds without
assistance. Sufficient visual acuity and hearing capacity to perform the essential functions and interact with
