Responsibilities
 
Idaho National Laboratory is seeking a candidate for the Systems Analyses & Engineering Department (SAED) Manager.  This department provides systems expertise to INL and Work for Others (WFO) programs and projects. SAED personnel support and integrate actions, activities, projects, and initiatives of Energy and Environment Science and Technology’s (EES&T’s) Integrated Mission Plan and other INL or WFO research, development, and demonstration (RD&D) or operational efforts.
 
As the successful candidate, you will lead and manage project success through application of systems engineering, decision support, and project management to R&D projects of external customers and within the INL. Maintain a core technical competency in Systems Engineering (SE), Decision Support (DS), and Project Management (PM).  Provide Project Managers and Systems Engineers to programs and projects within the Nuclear Energy, National Security, and Science & Technology Directorates.  Manage the application of Project Management and Systems Engineering to Work for Others (WFO) programs and projects.  Implement an OMB A-131 compliant Value Engineering (VE, part of DS) program.  Establish and maintain processes, tools, and software for PM, SE, and DS. Champion application of PM, SE, and DS to INL and WFO programs.  Facilitate laboratory-wide Provide leadership in professional technical societies (e.g. INCOSE, PMI, SAVE) and University programs for disciplines within PM, SE, and DS.transformation through productivity improvement analyses, root cause analyses, training, and "road block" removal support.  
 

MS degree in a science or engineering discipline, plus 11 years relevant experience, or a PhD in a science or engineering discipline plus 7 years relevant experience. Systems Engineering Professional Certification (i.e. International Council on Systems Engineering [ICOSE] Certification) highly desired.
 
Must be a US Citizen.  Must be able to obtain and maintain a US DOE L-clearance.
