Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a National Reactor Innovation Center (NRIC) Technical Program Manager to work in our Demonstration Infrastructure and Support/Demonstration Project Partnerships Department (C310). Our team works a 9x80 schedule located out of our Idaho Falls facility with every other Friday off.
Responsibilities Include:
- Support the success of advanced reactor demonstration projects by coordinating work across national laboratories and by leading teams to design the purpose-built experimental infrastructure needed by U.S. reactor developers and work directly alongside industry partners as they demonstrate innovations in nuclear reactor design and deployment.
- Work closely with other organizations, facilities, operations and business professionals to lead programmatic activities and ensure cost effective execution and completion.
- Minimize the time required to build and operate novel reactor concepts.
- Coordinate experimental campaigns using existing DOE facilities, developing new facilities and/or capabilities to allow testing and demonstration, ensuring the availability and production of fuel for reactor demonstrations, and preparing sites for operational demonstration reactors.

Minimum Requirements:
- Level 4: Bachelor’s degree and 9 years, or Master's degree and 6 years, or PhD and 4 years relevant experience in Nuclear, Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical Engineering, or other related degree.
- Level 5: Bachelor’s and 14 years of experience. Master’s and 8 years of experience. PhD and 6 years of experience.
- 5 years of experience in technical program management.
- Experience in systems engineering or engineering design of pilot plants and experimental facilities.
- Knowledge of model-based systems and digital engineering into plant design.
- Knowledge of procedures addressing requirements management, configuration management, risk management, systems analysis, verification and validation.
- This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy Q clearance, which requires US Citizenship.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Experience leading projects in an environment with chemical, radiological, or other industrial hazards.
- Experience as a technical lead or system architect in nuclear or process technology development.
- Experience with construction project management.
- Experience in the maritime industry or supporting related programs.
Job Information:
- The pay range for this position is: Level 4 ($111,888 - $229,284) / Level 5 ($134,124 - $275,136). At Idaho National Laboratory compensation decisions are determined using factors such as education, relevant experience, and other credentials.

- TDP: This is a testing designated position; you will submit to a pre-employment drug screen and periodic drug testing throughout the term of your employment.

Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this classification, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel,
bend, and work in an office and field/laboratory environment. The job requires hand/finger dexterity to keyboard or type,
handle materials, manipulate tools, and reach with hands and arms. The job requires operation of job-related equipment
and driving a vehicle. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds without assistance. Sufficient
visual acuity and hearing capacity to perform the essential functions and interact with the public is required. Reasonable
