Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree plus 8-12+ years' experience; or Advanced degree plus 6-8+ years' experience; or PhD plus 4-6+ years experience; or 16-18+ years relevant experience in lieu of degree.
  • Graduate of the Interagency Training Center (ITC) TSCM Course
  • Must have attained DOE certification as TSCM Technician or have been previously certified.
  • Technical Security (TSCM/TEMPEST) program or equivalent combination of specialized education and experience.
  • Must be able to attain DOE certifications as a TEMPEST and Protected Transmission System (PTS) Inspector.
  • This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy "Q" clearance, which requires US Citizenship.
  • Must attend and pass the national DOE OPSEC class, TSCM Executive Overview, TSCM Workshop training, , annual TSCM and TEMPEST specialized training, TSCM new technologies updates, Secret Internet Protocol Router (SIPR) and Headquarters and Laboratory (HAL) network training.
  • Working knowledge of classified information and document handling policies and procedures, and ability to become an Authorized Derivative Classifier.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of alarm and access control systems.
  • Experience reading architectural blueprints, as-built drawings, and conceptual designs.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Engineering or Electronics/Electrical related degree/experience.

Job Information

  • Salary Grade PR0400: 220 ($107,520 - $177,336) / Salary Grade PR0500: 230 ($121,212 - $206,232)

  • TDP: Testing designated position; It will be required to submit to a pre-employment drug screen and periodic drug testing throughout the term of employment.
