Minimum Requirements:

  • Degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry or closely related discipline with commensurate experience in the nuclear enterprise: BS and 12+ years of experience, MS and 8+ years of experience, or PhD and 6+ years of experience. Advanced degree strongly preferred.
  • 5 years of experience with molten salts R&D.
  • Evidence of increasing leadership experience demonstrating effective skills in recruiting, developing and managing engineers and/or scientists.
  • Experience performing or managing research related to molten salts, such as salt characterization, remote equipment development, and/or high-temperature chemical engineering.
  • Knowledge of INL research capabilities and facilities is preferred.
  • This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy "Q" clearance, which requires US Citizenship.

Job Information:

  • The target pay range for this position is $154,733.00- $231,971.00 annually. The full pay range is $105,516.00 - $269,052.00 At Idaho National Laboratory compensation decisions are determined using factors such as education, relevant experience, and other credentials.
  • TDP: This is a testing designated position; you will be required to submit to a pre-employment drug screen and periodic drug testing throughout the term of your employment.
