Analytical Chemist

Minimum Requirements:

• Master’s degree or higher in chemistry, physics, or related field and 1-3 years’ relevant experience
• Relevant experience includes in academia, private industry or nuclear
• MS or PhD in chemistry, physics, geochemistry, or nuclear engineering, or the equivalent combination of education and related experience
• This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy "L" clearance, which requires US Citizenship

Preferred Requirements:

• Significant ability to perform independent analysis of technical problems involving complex data sets and communicate results
• Significant experience and ability to track details without losing sight of broader scientific objectives
• Ability to develop independent research projects as demonstrated through publication of peer-reviewed literature or equivalent classified research documents
• Experience in radiochemistry, radioactive counting techniques, and/or analytical chemistry methods
• Experience with statistical analysis of datasets
• Advanced verbal and written communication skills necessary to collaborate effectively in a team environment and present technical information
• Initiative and interpersonal skills necessary to work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment, including the ability to provide / receive constructive criticism
• Ability to lead teams and manage technical collaborations

Job Information:

• Salary Grade 200 ($83,412 - $137,592)/220 ($110,316 - $181,956)
