Minimum Requirements:
-
Ph.D. in geosystems/petroleum/mining/geological engineering, earth science, or a related field

Ph.D. requirements must be completed prior to commencement of appointment and within the previous 5 years

Experience creating computational tools for modeling fracture propagation
-
Proficiency in C++ programming and knowledge of Python coding
-
Good written and verbal communication skills in English as evidenced by peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations
Desired Qualifications:
-
A background in poromechanics, fracture mechanics, or numerical methods related to modeling fractures

Experience with object-oriented C++ programming – the MOOSE finite element method-based package is preferred
-
Experience with discrete fracture network modeling
-
Subsurface research experience in topics such as geothermal energy or in situ mining
Job Information:
- Salary Grade: $95,004.00 Annually
