Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's of Science degree in Nuclear Engineering plus 2-5+ years relevant experience or Master's of Science degree in Nuclear Engineering plus 1-3+ year relevant experience or PhD in Nuclear Engineering plus 0-2+ years relevant experience.
  • This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy "Q" clearance, which requires US Citizenship.
  • Proficient in the use and application of the MCNP or SCALE computer codes for fissionable materials.
  • Familiar with and understand ANSI/ANS-8 series standards.
  • Ability to read and understand process and equipment drawings.
  • Proficient in the use of the LINUX based operating environment.
  • Ability to obtain the criticality safety engineer qualification (QNCRITEG).

Job Information

  • Salary Grade PR0200: 210 ($93,492 - $154,212) / Salary Grade PR0300: 220 ($107,520 - $177,336)

  • TDP: Testing designated position; It will be required to submit to a pre-employment drug screen and periodic drug testing throughout the term of employment.
  • Multi-Level: This is a multi-level posting and the selected candidate will be placed at the appropriate level dependent on depth and breadth of proven experience and skills.
