Minimum Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering with a minimum 15 years’ experience in management with experience implementing ESH&Q programs or activities. A master's degree is preferred and/or professional certifications (e.g., Certified Safety Professional, Certified Industrial Hygienist, etc.).
  • Demonstrated leadership ability to create and articulate an organizational vision and deployment strategy, including the ability to effectively collaborate in the development of effective compliance strategies within a complex regulatory environment.
  • Demonstrated management skills, including ability to manage budgets and personnel.
  • Demonstrated line management success in the development of staff.
  • Ability to effectively articulate, both through written word and oral presentation, a command of ESH&Q to a diverse audience (to include workers, senior executives, other DOE Prime Contractors, external regulators, DOE officials, and the public).
  • Skilled at consensus building across a broad spectrum of collaborators and interest groups including internal and external organizations, regulatory agencies, elected officials, peer groups, unions, and local community.
  • This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy "Q" clearance, which requires US Citizenship.
