Electrical Engineering Support Internship Summer 2025

Reporting to the Electrical Controls and Structural Engineering Manager, you will help develop electrical designs, models of systems and components, and learn principles of the National Electrical Code (NEC)." You will also use arc flash simulation software to compute incident energy levels and update the electrical as build configurations to support MFC facilities. As part of your paid summer internship you provide support for formal report preparation.
This team works a 4x10 schedule and works onsite at the Materials and Fuels Complex near Idaho Falls, Idaho.
- Undergraduate Sophomore/Junior/Senior or Master Level Graduate student enrolled full time at an accredited college/university studying Electrical Engineering or closely related field.
- A minimum overall 3.0 GPA
- Completed coursework in power system analysis, circuit analysis, and systems engineering.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. (including CPT and OPT)

Compensation and Benefits:
- Undergraduate Internships ($25.65/hour - $30.70/hour)
- Masters Internships and PhD Internships Pre-Candidacy ($31.75/hour - $34.06/hour)
- PhD Internships Post-Candidacy ($33.75/hour - $36.06/hour)
- Eligible interns are provided paid holiday time off, and many of our internships offer travel reimbursements.
