Minimum Requirements: 

  • Level 1: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Systems Engineering, Operations Research, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Science/Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Economics, Business or a related field.
  • Level 2: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Operations Research, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Science/Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Economics, Business or a related field, with at least 2 years of experience.
  • Pursuit of an advanced degree is highly recommended. Preferred work experience in energy supply chain research.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in statistics, mathematics, programming, systems modeling or other quantitative field that can be used in operations research, management science and supply chain modeling.
  • Demonstrated oral and published written communication skills (in English)
  • Experience in computational analysis and model development using a range of systems modeling tools such as Discrete Event Simulation, System Dynamics, Agent-based Modeling, statistical analysis software, techno-economic analysis and life cycle analysis tools.
  • Developing good publication record in relevant fields of research
  • Proficient in Python or Java with experience in developing interfaces and machine learning tools
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and have the ability and willingness to obtain and maintain a DOE “L” clearance.

  • Salary Grade 210 Min: $93,492 Mid: $123,852Max: $154,212
