Responsibilities
Idaho National Laboratory (INL) is seeking an ES&H Risk Officer to provide support to the ESH&Q Director as an ESH&Q SME, by ensuring program compliance to regulations while enabling the INL mission. Ensure compliance by line organizations and appropriate risk identification and mitigation measures by the ESH&Q Management System Leads. Overall responsibility for analysis of ESH&Q risks as documented in quarterly reports, Issues Management System, etc., and ensuring appropriate assurance activities are taken to mitigate risk and that these activities are integrated with ESH&Q and across other management systems. In addition, support for ad hoc requests and strategic initiatives including budget formulation and analysis.

 

Minimum Qualification Requirements (Education and/or Experience):
PR4 - Baccalaureate and 8 years of experience or advanced degree and 4-6 years of experience. Preferred work experience in 2 of 6 ESH&Q disciplines (S&H, E. Nuc Safety, Performance Assurance, Quality or Rad Protection). Other certifications and/or related licenses desirable.

PR5 - Baccalaureate and 12 years of experience or advanced degree and 6-8 years of experience. Preferred work experience in 2 of 6 ESH&Q disciplines (S&H, E. Nuc Safety, Performance Assurance, Quality or Rad Protection). Other certifications and/or related licenses desirable.

Special Requirements and/or Training:
Successful candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE L security clearance.

License(s) or Certification(s) Required:
Prefer work experience in 2/5 ESH&Q disciplines (Safety & Health, Quality and Performance Management, Nuclear Safety, Environmental, or Radiological Control). Other certifications and/or related licenses desirable.
