Minimum Requirements:

  • Advanced degree (PhD or MS) in geosciences or engineering (environmental/chemical/civil/mechanical) or a similar field and 3 years minimum experience
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and written communication skills in English
  • Strong research and analytical skills to apply geochemical models to resolve H2, CO2, and geothermal research questions.
  • Ability to integrate field observations and laboratory data into a modeling system to ensure that the model solution solves real world, field-scale subsurface problems.
  • Have a publication record and experience writing competitive research proposals.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Demonstrated ability to organize research activities and build multi-disciplinary teams consisting of internal and external (other national laboratories, universities, industry) members
  • Relevant research accomplishments documented by publications in scientific literature
  • Experience leading field scale geoscience research projects
  • Strong customer interaction and presentation skills

  • Salary Grade 220 ($107,520 - $177,336) / 230 ($121,212 - $206,232)
