Molten Salt Systems Postdoctoral Research Associate

• Ph.D. requirements must be completed by the commencement of appointment and within the previous 5 years. 
• Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Material Science & Engineering or a comparable discipline 
• Demonstrated oral and published written communication skills.

Familiarity in one or more of the following areas is desired:
•    Hands-on experience with high temperature molten salt and/or metallurgical experiment systems
•    Hands-on experience with inert-atmosphere gloveboxes
•    Electrochemistry or pyrochemistry
•    Fuel cycle safeguards techniques
•    Familiarity with UV-Vis and Raman spectroscopic techniques
•    Familiarity with work in Radiological Facilities
•    Familiarity with multi-physics modeling and finite element analysis tools (e.g., COMSOL, STAR-CCM+, Fluent) which could be applied to modeling of high temperature chemical processes

Job Information:

• Salary Grade: $95,004 per year

• This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy "L or Q" clearance which requires US Citizenship.
