• Ph.D. requirements must be completed by the commencement of appointment and within the previous 5 years. • Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Material Science & Engineering or a comparable discipline • Demonstrated oral and published written communication skills.
Familiarity in one or more of the following areas is desired:• Hands-on experience with high temperature molten salt and/or metallurgical experiment systems• Hands-on experience with inert-atmosphere gloveboxes• Electrochemistry or pyrochemistry• Fuel cycle safeguards techniques• Familiarity with UV-Vis and Raman spectroscopic techniques• Familiarity with work in Radiological Facilities• Familiarity with multi-physics modeling and finite element analysis tools (e.g., COMSOL, STAR-CCM+, Fluent) which could be applied to modeling of high temperature chemical processes
Job Information:
- Salary Grade: $95,004 per year

- This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy "L or Q" clearance which requires US Citizenship.
