Minimum Requirements:

  • PhD requirements must be completed by commencement of appointment and within the previous 5 years.
  • PhD in nuclear, mechanical, civil or a related engineering field with a focus on computational science
  • Will work in culturally diverse environment
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills in English with excellent skills in communicating scientific results
  • Will obtain and retain access to the software packages under development
  • Demonstrated knowledge of thermo-chemistry, porous flow, reactive transport, and one or more computational techniques such as: numerical methods, finite elements, machine learning surrogate models, physics informed neural networks
  • Experience in software development and code stewardship with scientific computing languages and object-oriented programming, or a solid applied math background
  • Must hold a degree from a Minority Serving Institution (MSI)***

Job Information:

  • The salary for this position is $96,900.00 Annually.
