Minimum Qualification Requirements (Education and/or Experience):
Bachelors degree plus 3 years relevant experience, Masters degree plus 2 years relevant experience or a PhD and 1 year relevant experience.

Working level knowledge of DOE nuclear safety and criticality safety requirements, standards, and guides is preferred; however, demonstrated ability to master like requirements in the commercial nuclear industry or NRC may be substituted.

Demonstrated expertise in verbal and written communications is required.

Ability to qualify as a Root Cause Analyst and Lead Assessor within 6 months is required. Ability to gain Q clearance required.

Desired, but not mandatory: Experience as an NRC Senior Resident Inspector or qualified Inspector, Shift Supervisor in a commercial power plant or DOE Nuclear Facility, or equivalent.
 

Special Requirements and/or Training:
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE L or Q Clearance. Must be a U.S. citizen.
