Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a Real Property Asset Management and Planning Manager to work on our Campus Development team. Our team works a 9x80 schedule located out of our Research and Education Campus with every other Friday off. 

You will be responsible for managing a team of operationally focused professionals in the areas of real property asset management, real estate leasing and acquisition, and campus master planning. You will develop and oversee functional strategies, governance, and direction for the real estate team that includes short and long-term real estate actions, collaboration with public and private leaders, and cross-organizational efforts. You will also provide relationship management with DOE Real Estate Contracting Officers.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Manage activities of the Real Estate team including non-exempt and exempt specialists. Provide directions to team members according to established real property asset management and planning policies and management guidance. 

  • Manage, train, and motivate staff to meet INL real property asset management and laboratory mission targets and objectives for infrastructure transformation. Manage employees that perform similar or related tasks. May supervise more than one shift or work unit and subordinate managers. 

  • Be responsible for developing and administering budgets, schedules, and performance standards for the Real Estate team and the Campus Development Office (CDO). Take action to monitor and manage costs related to the organization. 

  • Receive assignments based on incremental objectives and defined processes. Monitor, integrate, and coordinate daily, weekly, or monthly activities. 

  • Monitor activities to develop operational enhancements and be responsible for maintaining internal control, schedule, and quality adherence. Develop and manage routine operational plans. 

  • Participate in the development of overall objectives and long-term goals of CDO and the Infrastructure Transformation Division in alignment with INL mission and goals. 

  • Ensure quality, record keeping, and compliance. 

  • Recommend changes to staff discipline policies. Identify, troubleshoot, or resolve escalated problems, working on issues of moderate to large scope/complexity. 

  • Interact with subordinate supervisors and functional peer groups. Interaction requires interpreting and explaining information to audiences familiar with the subject. 

  • Gain cooperation of others, conducting presentations of technical information concerning specific projects or programs. 
    Reports to CDO Sr. Manager. 

  • Other duties as assigned.
     

Minimum Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or other related management discipline and 9 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree in the same fields/area and 6 years of relevant experience.  
  • Must have demonstrated experience leading strategic real property planning and real estate procedures and policies.
  • This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy "Q" clearance, which requires US Citizenship. 

     

Preferred Requirements: 

  • Experience with financial management of facilities and infrastructure portfolio.
  • Strong knowledge of DOE lease and property acquisition requirements.
  • Experience with capital level project management.
  • Previous experience as a line manager.

     

     

    Job Information:

     

     

  • The target pay range for this position is (99,627 – $153,664) annually. The full pay range is ($91,812 - $220,332). At Idaho National Laboratory compensation decisions are determined using factors such as education, relevant experience, and other credentials. 
  • TDP: This is a testing designated position; you will be required to submit to a pre-employment drug screen and periodic drug testing throughout the term of your employment. 

     

Physical Requirements:

  • While performing the duties of this classification, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, bend, and work in an office and field/laboratory environment. The job requires hand/finger dexterity to keyboard or type, handle materials, manipulate tools, and reach with hands and arms. The job requires operation of job-related equipment and driving a vehicle. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Sufficient visual acuity and hearing capacity to perform the essential functions and interact with the public is required.
