X-Ray and Neutron Diffraction Materials Scientist

Minimum Requirements:

• PhD in Materials Science and Engineering or Nuclear Engineering
• PRO300 - PhD and 2-4 years experience
• PRO400 - PhD and 4-8 years experience
• Preference given to candidates with US Citizenship and the ability and willingness to obtain and maintain a DOE "L" or "Q" clearance.

Preferred Requirements:

• Hands on experience and demonstrated expertise with X-ray Diffractometer
• Working knowledge of Neutron Diffraction or Neutron Scattering Techniques
• Demonstrated ability to perform independent research and methods development in the above mentioned techniques
• Ability to perform numerical analyses including image processing and quantitative analyses in 2D and 3D, numerical filtration and non-linear regression and inverse methods of data processing

• Salary Grade 220 ($104,688 - $172,668)/230 ($118,020 - $200,808)
