In this paid internship, you will work with our Thermal Fluid Systems Methods and Analysis team, analyzing experimental data related to molten salt thermophysical properties such as viscosity, thermal conductivity, and density. You will develop data science models to fit correlations for these properties. Additionally, you will utilize machine learning techniques and statistical methods to enhance model accuracy, collaborate with researchers to interpret model results, refine experimental methodologies, and document and present your findings to the research team. This team works a 9x80 schedule and operates onsite at our Idaho Falls campus. The start date and duration of the internship vary based on project and student availability. You may be eligible for course credit for this internship if approved by your university.
Minimum Requirements:

Undergraduate student enrolled full-time at an accredited college/university studying Data Science

A minimum overall (3.0) GPA

Authorization to work in the U.S. (including CPT and OPT)

Compensation and Benefits:

Undergraduate Internships ($26.16/hour - $31.47/hour)

Masters Internships and PhD Internships Pre-Candidacy ($32.87/hour - $35.26/hour)

PhD Internships Post-Candidacy ($35.95/hour - $38.41/hour)
