Information Protection Specialist
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree plus 0-2+ years relevant experience.
- This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy "Q" clearance, which requires US Citizenship.
- Knowledge of and/or experience with aspects of information science and information protection principles (e.g export controls, CUI, UCNI, classified information protection, PII, etc),
- Critical thinking and analytic skills are a must.
- Ability to review and comprehend regulatory guidance documents as well as scientific and technical content as a basic level.
- Strong oral & written communications and organizational skills required.
- Strong service orientation to customers and co-workers is a must.
- Able to take initiatives for needed projects and to work independently.
- Able to work with all levels of laboratory personnel to coordinate work responsibilities and solve problems.
- Ability to communicate technical ideas and plans both verbally and in writing to non-technical staff and customers in a helpful and friendly manner.
- Must be able to demonstrate project management, analytical, and problem solving skills, with an interest in complex and detailed work.
Preferred Requirements:
- Degree in information science or information protection field.
- Experiences include the use of electronic information systems, document review and categorization, and information protection.
Job Information
- Salary Grade PR0100: 170 ($55,656 - $89,112) / Salary Grade PR0200: 180 ($62,640 - $100,224)
