Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree plus 5-8 years, an Advanced degree plus 3-6 years, OR 13-16 years of relevant experience/education in lieu of degree. Relevant experience would consist of performance of Lead Auditor roles and responsibilities, both with internal and external audit experience, and supplier evaluations with NQA-1, ISO-9001 and other applicable codes and standards.
- Ability to qualify as an INL QA Lead Auditor.
- Extensive auditing experience is required.
- Ability to evaluate design reports and calculations for content and completeness, verify the completeness of documentation for software used in analysis/calculations, and identify the applicable software requirements for the specific application of software.
- Ability to understand/learn commercial grade dedication and the application to INL sourced design.
- Ability to effectively collaborate with INL and DOE personnel.
- Demonstrated oral and written communication and presentation skills.
- Solid understanding and knowledge of quality concepts and practices and proven familiarity with codes, standards, and regulations, as they apply to various types of work activities.
- Ability to travel. Required travel may range from 10%-30% of work hours.
- Strengths needed for this position are communication, problem solving, adaptability, judgment, collaboration, leadership, and decision making.
- Must have a level of knowledge of ASME NQA-1, including subparts 2.7 and 2.14, ISO 9001/17025, DOE QA Orders and other Codes and Standards invoked by the INL QA program.
- This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy "L" clearance, which requires US Citizenship.
Preferred Requirements:
- Experience in NQA-1 programs, manufacturing, steel fabrication, welding, QC Inspection, nondestructive and destructive examination, and hazardous material packaging is desired.
- Performance of supplier evaluations is preferred.
