Responsibilities
 

Idaho National Laboratory (INL) is seeking candidates for a Material Helper.  This position performs various pick-up and delivery services and mailroom operations.  Operates cars, pickups and forklifts (up to and including 10 ton capacity) to load, unload and distribute material to locations on and off the INL.  Perform stock room related activities as required. Activities associated with the pick-up, filling and distribution of liquid nitrogen and other compressed gas cylinders and dewars are performed in accordance with applicable guidance documents.

 
 

High School Diploma or GED plus at least 5 years experience in warehouse and traffic type functions and procedures.

Valid State of Idaho driver's license is required.

At least 5 years of general warehouse and traffic type experience/functions and procedures is required.

Must be able to lift 50 pounds, work in areas with high noises, and climb ladders.

 

Basic computer skills are required.

Considerable skill and experience in forklift operation is required.

 
Selective Service Requirements

Special Senses:  Visually demanding work, near/far vision, depth perception, basic color discrimination, ability to hear audio alarms, speech discrimination.  

Work Conditions: High noises (>85 dB), heights, stairs, heat stress, cold stress, UV (sun) exposure, ladders >6 feet, power tools, lasers, protective clothing, heavy equipment operation, forklift use, motor vehicle use, typing/keyboard; Personnel Requirements: >8 hrs./day.
