Required Qualifications
• PhD requirements must be completed by commencement of appointment and within the previous 5 years
• PhD in Nuclear Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or other related and relevant discipline
• Knowledge of nuclear materials, molten salt corrosion, advanced manufacturing techniques, electrochemical testing, artificial intelligence, and machine learning is required
• Experience analyzing and modeling experimental results is required
• Technical proficiency in one or more programming languages/platforms (e.g., Python, Fortran, C++, MATLAB) is required
• Understanding of materials performance issues for materials under extreme environments is required
• Prior publications in high impact journals with respect to environmental degradation in extreme environments (e.g., molten salt, irradiation, high temperature, oxidation), advanced manufacturing techniques, machine learning, and artificial intelligence
• Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written
• Strong asset to our interdisciplinary R&D team and work effectively both independently and as a team member
• Self-motivated, but also work collaboratively with peers and multi-disciplinary teams
• Fluency in the English language and excellent oral and written communication skills
• On-site or hybrid position

- Salary Grade: $95,004 per year
