Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a Plumber to work in our MFC Mechanical department. Our team works a 4x10 schedule located out of our Materials and Fuels complex with every Friday off.
You will perform journeyman maintenance and installation of piping, plumbing, and tubing systems and components. You will report directly to the manager of the MFC Mechanical department.
Responsibilities Include:
- Troubleshoot, repair, install, and perform coupling and alignment of mechanical piping and tubing systems and components.
- Analyze design requirements, experimental plans, and other standard processes, and propose appropriate alternatives.
- Use mastery of knowledge base and skill associated with technical specialty.
- Work within policy and procedural direction from management.
- Work with management to implement established policies and procedures.
- Ensure that Human Performance Improvement (HPI) tools and strong safety culture principles are embedded into daily activities.
- Continually report progress appropriately to project and line managers.
- Serve as a resource to peers, junior staff, and management.
Minimum Requirements:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Plumbing Journeyman License.
- This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy "L" clearance, which requires US Citizenship.
Preferred Requirements:
- Backflow Prevention Assembly Tester Certification/License.
Job Information:
- Salary: (1) Introductory Pay: $37.48/hr - (2) Fully Qualified Pay: $43.27 (Rate can vary based upon individual work location, clearances, and qualifications. Rates are accurate for current posting and subject to change These are bargaining unit positions.)

- TDP: This is a testing designated position; you will be required to submit to a pre-employment drug screen and periodic drug testing throughout the term of your employment.
