Staff Scientist - Radiological Incident Response
Minimum Requirements:
-
PR0300 - HS and 13 years relevant experience in lieu of degree, BS Degree and 5 years’ experience, MS and 3 years’ experience, or PhD and 2 years’ experience

Extensive experience in x-ray radiography assessment operations or nuclear/radiological incident response in lieu of education may be considered.

Degree in Radiation Protection/Health Physics, Physics, Nuclear Engineering or comparable technical degree
-
Practical experience (5-10 years) in radiation safety/protection, radiological detection, x-ray radiography and/or nuclear reactor operations is preferred.

Familiarity and experience with U.S. crisis and consequence management mission desired. Nuclear/Radiological Emergency Response team participation experience preferred.

Ability to travel approximately 1 week per month, minimum.

This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy "Q" clearance, which requires US Citizenship.
