Responsibilities
 
Idaho National Laboratory (INL) is seeking a candidate for an entry-level Chemical Engineer.  You will apply engineering principles to support the development and testing of innovative chemical separation technologies and separations equipment for the treatment of used nuclear fuel, support of Homeland Security projects, as well as the recovery of rare earth elements from mining industry process and waste streams.
 
You will support development and testing of iodine and krypton separation processes from off-gas streams. You will support operation of solvent extraction pilot plant facilities utilizing centrifugal contactors, mixer-settlers and pulse columns.
You will assimilate and interpret experimental data. You will prepare reports and journal articles and present results of research to external customers and at national and international conferences. You will contribute to the development of new capabilities for the Department in separations. 

Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering 
 
Must be a US Citizen.  Must be able to obtain and maintain a US DOE Q-clearance.
 
Selective Service Requirements
 
To be eligible for employment at INL males between ages 18 and 25 must register (or must have registered) with the Selective Service System (SSS).
