Responsibilities
Idaho National Laboratory (INL) is seeking a skilled nuclear reactor physicist for its Reactor Physics Analysis & Design Department. This entry level position requires in-depth knowledge of reactor physics, core design, and analysis methods (e.g., experience with stochastic or deterministic reactor analysis tools such as, but not limited to, MCNP, SCALE or REBUS). You will contribute to reactor design activities such as, but not limited to, those related to the on-going Versatile Test Reactor program.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: • PhD in Nuclear Engineering, Physics, or related discipline; alternately MS in same plus at least 1 year relevant experience • Knowledge of nuclear systems • Demonstrated oral and published written communication skills (in English) • Maintain a strong emphasis on safety DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Experience in fast reactor design analysis • Good understanding of scientific research |
