- B.S. degree in Science and Engineering and 5 years experience, MS degree and 3 years of experience, or a PhD and 2 years of experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
- B.S. degree in Science and Engineering and 12 years experience, or M.S. degree and 10 years experience.
- Certification such as Commercial Electrical Inspector and or Building Plans Examiner through the International Code Council (ICC) or the International Association of Electrical Inspectors (IAEI) is a plus. If the applicant does not have one of these certifications, it will be a requirement of maintaining the position for the employee to get one of these certifications within one year.
