Baccalaureate degree plus three years experience in radiation protection/radiological controls ; or a High School Diploma/GED plus 11 years experience in radiation protection/radiological controls.

Must have DOE RCT/HPT Core Certification.

Must be able to obtain and maintain an active DOE "L" or "Q" clearance.

Excellent supervisory, as well as, interpersonal skills are essential.

Previous relevant supervisory experience is preferred.

Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.

 

NRRPT certification is preferred.

Work Conditions: Facility: High noises (>85 dB); heights, confined spaces, stairs; Environmental Conditions: Radiation work; Equipment: ladders >6 feet, lasers, protective clothing, respirator use, motor vehicle use, typing/keyboard; Personnel Requirements: Rotating shift work, >8 hrs./day, overtime/irregular hours, working alone.
 
Certifications:   Respirator User, Testing Designated Position (TDP), TDP/ATR
