Responsibilities
Idaho National Laboratory is seeking an Facility Support Manager. In this role you will be responsible for the safe and effective planning and support functions of operations and maintenance of the Research and Education Campus (REC) facilities. Your duties will include: - Managing all planning and work org support staff who repair or replace plant equipment and systems to ensure maximum operation and service to tenants, while supporting the policies, goals and objectives of the REC Facility Services Division. Support personnel are responsible to plan, repair, and replace plant equipment based on laboratory instructions, Master Equipment List (MEL), Preventative Maintenance (PM), Corrective Maintenance (CM), and development of a Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) program. Maintenance craft or operations personnel operate equipment to maintain or repair and perform work in accordance Laboratory Policies using maintenance work control documents. - Responsible for maintaining an effective landlord/tenant relationship via daily interactions with DOE, Operations Staff, suppliers, contractors, subcontractors, and REC management. - Responsible for efficient and effective management of budget and personnel. - Responsible to support organizational “storefront” for facilities and resources for tenants and programs. - Providing supervision for managers, supervisors, and subordinate personnel. Develops REC budgets, REC renovation, life cycle plans, risk register five year plans, strategic project, maintenance and program needs, and Management Review Meetings (MRM) to provide to Division Director and INL SLT. |

Bachelors degree in Engineering, Facilities Engineering or related technical discipline plus 7 years, or an Advanced degree plus 5 years of progressive experience in industrial maintenance/facilities operation, maintenance, engineering and prior supervisory experience; or 15 years experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
Experience in work control/planning is required.
Must be able to obtain and maintain an active DOE "L" clearance.
Experience managing and planning facility budgets and developing facility strategic plans is required.
Position requires thorough knowledge of methods, processes, tools and equipment to maintain/repair/build machines, tools, fixtures, buildings and grounds and competency in areas of safety and environmental compliance including knowledge of associated federal, state, and company regulations. Demonstrated proficiency in computer applications and business systems such as, Microsoft Office, preventive maintenance and e-mail programs. Candidates must possess a strong bias for action, be self starters with initiative, exceptional communication skills (both written and oral) and the ability to manage competing priorities. • Proven experience working and communicating with stakeholders, such as staff, engineers, craft supervisors, managers, and regulators. • In-depth knowledge of office building, scientific laboratory, and industrial building maintenance is an asset. • Experience with repairs and maintenance of facility equipment. • Must have the ability to work effectively with Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and instruct others on its operation. • Must qualify as an INL Maintenance Manager and a Facility Complex Manager within one year of job acceptance. • Communicates regularly with all operations and maintenance personnel, both individually and as a group, to ensure good two-way communication concerning maintenance issues. In the facility areas, you will be exposed to all weather conditions, noise, dusts and odors. Must be able to frequently climb inclined stairways and vertical ladders and must be able to walk to and from job sites. Must be knowledgeable of disaster planning, emergency preparedness and general facility safety. Must reside within a one hour commute of assigned facilities due to On-Call considerations. Urgency and drive are critical to this role. The ideal candidate for this position will have experience working with collective bargaining units and subcontractors to ensure their work is done on time and with accuracy. | ||
